I want to apologize about the Brake the Wake contest. We are not having one...a contest that is. The winch will still be there along with the rail and the kicker, but there will be no entry fee.
Time is growing near and we figured it would be better to just make it a demo/clinic. Only changes are; no entry fee, no prize money. Everything else stays the same.

The members of Wake Factory have decided to throw another event along with the Spring 2 Summer Tournament. It will be a winch contest consisting of a rail and a kicker. The Brake the Wake contest will have an open division. Friday night around 7pm will be the start of the elimination round. Depending on the number of people,
the top riders will move on to the finals Saturday night at Boondocks. It will be held on the lake so life jacket and helmet are required.
We hope everyone has a great time because that is what these 2 events are about. Take a weekend to bring riders from all parts of the South to a somewhat central location so we can have a little fun with a sport we all love and admire. So load up
the coolers, your gear and drag your boat to Guntersville, Alabama. We are sure
you will enjoy what Wake Factory has in store for you.
If you have any question, go to: http://wakefactory.net/contact.html
Take care and be safe on your trip to Lake Guntersville.

Time is growing near for the upcoming Spring 2 Summer Tournament on Lake Guntersville, June 21-22. So I thought we would take some time and talk about a few places to stay during your visit.
The site of the tournament is located in Spring Creek on the south end of Guntersville off Hwy 431. The Hampton Inn and Tennessee Valley Floating Condos are two places located at the site of the tournament. These are two place we highly recommend staying. Reason being, great parking for your boat, a restaurant, and you are at the site of the comp.
The people of Hampton Inn are very excited about the upcoming event and gave discounted rates for guest attending the tournament. This place has a great breakfast, swimming pool, and the most comfortable beds I have ever been in. Make sure they know that you are coming to the wakeboard event so you can receive the discounted price.
The Tennessee Valley Floating Condos is another place to stay at the site. These are very unique places to stay cause you are right on the water. I mean, there is no other way to be any closer. You can tie the boat directly to some of the condos or to the area designated for parking. I like them so much I got two for myself. These condos book up fast so make sure you call early enough to reserve you one. If you are lucky, you may get the ones that face the tournament. Meaning, you can watch the comp from your porch.
Below is all the contact info for these two places. The condos do allow for pets with a refundable deposit when you leave. However, the Hampton Inn does not allow pets.

Hello. Welcome to Wake Factory News. The crew of Wake Factory and local riders are more than excited about the upcoming event at Lake Guntersville, AL. A place where riders from abroad have enjoyed the chilled atmosphere and scenic surroundings of a small town we call home. Not only that but, the public is starting to catch the buzz of the tournament and are beginning to open their arms and doors to the riders, friends and families of the sport. With that, we decided to tell a little about the location and things that will be offered to the riders.
We will take a few weeks to talk about a couple of places and explain their rolls in the coming of 'Spring too Summer'. First, lets talk a little about the town and the location of the comp.
Guntersville is located in Northeast Alabama, in the most southern bend of the Tennessee River. The town is a peninsula and the backwaters of the great river are the places we local riders call home. Places like Spring Creek, Browns Creek, and Pole Cat are among a few of the places we gather and take advantage of a sport and a lifestyle we love and live by.
The tournament location will be held in the southern part of Spring Creek located on Hwy. 431. With hotels and restaurants on the water, the lake has many things to offer while afloat. Lake Guntersville is a town that you can bring the boat, park the car and use the waters as access to your needs.
Next week, we will talk more in depth about places to stay and things to do. See, we have the lay out of the tournament, so with the extra time, we decided to lay out the after hours as well. We will be updating our news weekly, as we line up things to do after the comp and special room rates. |
